How Does a 42-Sqm Bare Pad Become a Two-Bedroom Suite?

Well, I know that it is really impossible to make this tiny room a two bedroom livable space.  But of course, with the help of our designer and magic hands of our skilled workers, nothing is impossible. Originally, space is only an empty unit, no partitions at all. The turn out looks like a sample showroom and his neighbor loves it.  Our client, who is a balikbayan, was happy with the result—even his friends are eager to visit and willing to fly out just to see personally.  By the way, this pad is not for personal use—business as usual.

Living room

In this pad, we used light colors such as white, cream, and natural wood. The accessories were used were also matched like putting some green accents to add color in the space.  A loveseat sofa is enough for the guest; a solid wood top coffee table, with natural grain and stainless steel legs, were perfectly matched.  Those cute shelves and illusion mirror above, gave life to space as we added some accessories to it.  It will look quirkier by adding some books and framed photos.

Dining area

Have you noticed that we usually use wallpaper in our projects? Aside from the fact it is easier than re-painting, it is less costly yet it can make the whole unit looks luxury.  We just love the orientation of the dining area— made a solid wood corner seating bench and two single chairs; a natural round table with 30 inches diameter, which includes the table setting, set up— that will make the guest enjoy their stay, more.  The round, modern droplight was bought from a well-known supplier, Aristocrat interiors.

Kitchen area

Originally, there was no installed neither upper nor lower cabinet. We were the one who designed the overall look and makes it happened. Space obviously very intact, we had to use natural laminates using solid marine plywood. The backsplash and granite-top were installed was the personal choice of our client, then, we purchased from Home Depot.

Bedroom 2

Our client was not really after with luxury vibe. He just wants a relaxing space wherein he could stay longer; a natural wood vibe designed furniture and a mirrored sliding closet for guest use achieve— everything is achieved.

Master's Bedroom

In need of storage space yet you are lacking of it? No problem at all. This is a customize set-up wherein we created a extra storage above and side of the bed, without compromising the design of the headboard. By adding extra side shelves, our client may be able to put his extra stuff or clothes above on the swing upper cabinet.

There’s a two cabinet on the right side and our apology if we weren’t able to capture it.  We also placed a small hanging table and shelves for computer use.

Bathroom

The usual, since the client has a limit budget, we weren’t able to accessorize this space. He just needed storage for cleaning stuff: Upper cabinet, lavatory cabinet and shelves; and also a vanity sized mirror and shower enclosure.

How do you find this pad? Is it yay or nay? We would love to hear your comments. Interested in the total cost of this project? Shoot us an email to homewoodscreation@gmail.com

What To Do When You Can’t Fully Renovate Your Rented Space?

In reality, people don’t have that much to afford their own space even they earned a higher degree than others. Let’s say, due to certain economic circumstances like fair hike, gas prices up, unstoppable kids tuition fee increase and much more to mention.

Though these happenings didn’t stop our lovely client, a single mother, mother of two, for having a beautiful home.  Yes, she is just renting out because as much as she wants to have an investment, she can’t sacrifice her child’s education. As per the client, she can’t be able to pay both monthly amortizations and decorating expenses; thus, she chose one between the two. She can’t also make a big down payment in exchange for sleepless nights and uncomfortable home to live. At least, even you are just renting out, you are comfortable and has the time to save up for better options. Good thing, the owner is her friend, which gave her the best deal.

Living area

Look how inviting and lovely this corner. Of course, the wallpaper created an ambiance that we were expecting. She just wants us to make her living area feel like a French theme. Repainting of the wall is not recommended since it will cost you more when you are just renting out. Most esp. if the developer of the house doesn’t care how rough your wall is.  Instead of repeating the work, we just made the empty wall look interesting. FYI, not all decorative kinds of stuff are expensive. We didn’t also pay attention to the ceiling because major renovations aren’t allowed.

Dining area

This space totally puzzled our minds on how we can fit a four-seater rectangular table. Unfortunately, a plus size woman may not be able to enjoy this table. A wall mounted full-size mirror that adds illusion to that very small corner, which took an advantage becoming an accent— It explains that the apartment is designed as a loft.

Bathroom

Just a simple request: extra storage for bathroom essentials and hanging shelves for other pieces of stuff. Minor re-painting has been made.

Wall mounted Bunkbed for kids

Masters Bedroom

Did I mention that the majority of the furniture’s mostly sliding cabinets were made inside the apartment? The stairs are not that wide and we can’t be able to carry these beautiful pieces up. Good thing, our team is genius to make this happen. Thus, in case she decided to move out to her permanent home, we can dismantle all these for her and assemble up again. Even space didn't undergo a major renovation, at least, her space will get the attention of her kids and future guests.

Wanna know the cost of this project? Did we make you feel that renting out is not really a bad idea? Comment down on your insights

What Made us Think That 2017 was Awesome?

Hi everyone! I guess I haven’t greeted you yet? Well, to all my happy readers Happy New year! May you enjoy this blog more because I am planning to write more exciting contents here that will help you become inspired by loving your home.

The year 2017 was really awesome and relevant. It gave us an opportunity: to be part of our client’s lives by transforming their dream space. These opportunities were not that easy as we had to go through different obstacles to become a better version. Handling multiple projects made us feel us like a zombie every time we have a deadline to catch—sleepless nights were not new to us. Why are we doing this? We can actually have a normal sleep like the normal people do; but then once you made a promise, no matter what happens or whatever it takes, we must stick to our word. Oftentimes, we made a mistake for accidentally compromising things, but there are things that are out of your control. But once you faced it, you are becoming the better person than yesterday. These life lessons shaped us up to become competitive. It made us realized that importance of being committed in this kind of industry. We may not be one of the top firms in this country, but we are very much overwhelmed to see how satisfied our clients were. Being content with what we have—happy client’s who chose us—, or what we can do makes us stand out from the rest.
